To all my artists,

You all have a creative mind, I only hope that I was able to inspire you to continue your creative and artistic ways. Make sure you continue your passion at home. Buy yourself a sketchbook and practise your drawing and painting skills. Art is a fantastic way to express yourself when words don’t seem enough. We have had lots of fun this year and I only wish that you continue this in the years to come. I’m proud of all of you!

Coordinator’s Message

Dear parents and students,

We concluded another academic year with amazing activities that filled with a lot of learning opportunities for our students. I would like to thank all parents and students for taking part in various programs and providing great support to our school community. Some of the highlights of term 4 were secondary camp, speech and exhibition night, Sirius College art exhibition, parent teacher interviews, year 10 farewell and various excursions and incursions that our subject teachers organised.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank to our secondary department for their great contribution and effort throughout the 2016 academic year It was certainly pleasure to work with such a dedicated team of teachers and I feel quite privileged to be part of it.

It would be unfair not to mention about our newsletter committee who demonstrated an excellent effort to put together an online newsletter twice a term this year. I would especially like to thank to Ms Brittany Sullivan, Ms Fusun Tufekci and Ms Alinur Uyghur for their time, hard work and dedication to provide news for our school community.

As you may be aware our uniform transition period ends in 2017 which means all students required to come to school with new school uniform. For instance students were allowed to wear their previous school skirt. A letter will be sent to all parents explaining the details about the up date of uniform via parents paperwork.

This year our students received more coordinators and principal awards than previous years. I would like to congratulate all students for their awards and hope to see you the same success in the following year.

Students finalised 2016 with semester two exams on ninth of December and will start back to school in second of February in 2017. Please take the holiday as an opportunity to spend time with your son or daughter to engage into conversation about different aspects of life. Please note that it is suggested that listening children effectively enable parents to establish a good rapport with their children and also increase the positive experiences.

Finally, I wish everyone a safe holiday and great break. I hope to see you all in 2017 academic year.
